Welcome to the Creativity, Activity & Service (CAS) Homepage

CAS encourages students to explore themselves as individuals and members of a global community. Students are setting goals, reflecting on experiences, giving back, being creative and maintaining their physical well being throughout the two year Diploma Programme. Through their experiences, students are also growing in their Learner Profile Traits, applying their content knowledge outside of the classroom and becoming more well-rounded individuals.

On February 28, 2019, IBDP Spanish Language Acquisition students visited Building One Community (B1C) in Stamford. Building One Community is a center dedicated to the successful integration of immigrants in Stamford. Part of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme's (IBDP) aim is to develop internationally minded students who not only learn another language but immerse themselves in the culture of that language. Additionally, the IBDP encourages students to serve their community through the completion of their Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS) requirements. Students embraced these aims as they spent the day teaching immigrants English vocabulary and grammar. They also spent time relaxing, conversing and playing games. Students were complimented by B1C for their preparedness and for their excellent communication and hard work with the immigrants. The IBDP is grateful to B1C for allowing students to partake in such an incredible opportunity.
